Goodwill Message from the Executive President of the Ghana Baptist Convention

GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT OF THE GHANA BAPTIST CONVENTION (REV. ENOCH NII NARH THOMPSON)
TO THE NINETEENTH NABA ANNUAL RENEWAL CONVENTION (2025)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the North America Baptist Association of the Ghana Baptist Convention (NABA), I bring you heartfelt greetings in the matchless Name of our dear Redeemer and Lord Jesus Christ.

So soon another year for your annual gathering has come, and what blessing to come together to take account of the faithfulness of God, celebrate what God has done, and to tune yourselves together to serve His purposes in the years ahead.

As you come together, my spirit is with you, on behalf of all your brethren here in Ghana.
Your theme, “Cheerful Generosity- the Heart of Missions” (2 Corinthians 9:5-15) is relevant for a meeting of this nature. It is a reminder of the fact that our core duty as God’s Church on earth is worshipful missions, to worship Him and to make Him known to others so that they may also come to worship Him. Individually and corporately the missionary consciousness of the Church must not be lost on us at any time.

The theme also stresses the necessary duty of raising resources (financial, human and material) to facilitate the work of Kingdom proclamation, in our immediate setting of North America, as in the church planting agenda of NABA, or in support of evangelism, church planting and shelter for worship efforts back home in Ghana, and elsewhere. As the Apostle Paul puts it in Romans 10:14-15, “14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?” NIV

As you celebrate, as you deliberate, may God fill your hearts with the joy of our salvation, and may your spirits be overwhelmed with a willingness of cheerful generosity to raise the resources needed for the continued work of the ministry.

The Lord bless and keep you all, now and always.

There shall be showers of blessing!

Shalom!!
